LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) would like to congratulate all award winners who were recognized at this year’s Annual Convention. This year’s award recipients have all played a role in contributing to CCA’s success in some way, and were acknowledged for those efforts during CCA’s convention. Their dedication, perseverance, and leadership within the industry are traits to be admired.
2023 Award Recipients:
- CCA Honorary Life Member - T. Wright Dickinson, Maybell, Colo.
- Colorado Cattlemen’s Foundation Endowment Trust Recognition - the late Brice Lee, Hesperus, Colo.
- Public Service Award - Senator Dylan Roberts, Avon, Colo.
- Leopold Conservation Award - LeValley Ranch, of Hotchkiss, Colo., owned and operated by the LeValley family
- Landowner of the Year Award - Nottingham Land and Livestock, Craig, Colo.
- Volunteer of the Year Award - Ginny Harrington, Carbondale, Colo.; Callie Hendrickson, Meeker, Colo.; and Lenny Klinglesmith, Meeker, Colo.
- Outgoing President Recognition and Award - Philip Anderson, Walden, Colo.
- Outgoing Board Member Recognition and Award - Janie VanWinkle, Fruita, Colo.
- Outgoing Board Member Recognition and Award - Brett Datteri, Greeley, Colo.
- Outgoing Board Member Recognition and Award - Al Heaton, Cortez, Colo.
CCA recently celebrated its 156th Annual Convention in Steamboat Springs with members and stakeholders from all over the state. The convention featured committee meetings, the sixth annual Ranching Legacy Symposium, Mountain Meat-Up reception and banquet, and more.
