A function of the Colorado Cattlemen's Association & the Colorado Cattlemen's Foundation

For more than 150 years, ranching has been a major contributor to Colorado’s economy while at the same time keeping millions of acres of Colorado’s open space intact. From the production of safe and wholesome food to the preservation of natural resources for domestic livestock and wildlife habitat, agriculture is a key contributor to what makes Colorado such a great place to live and visit.

Even though Colorado’s heritage is deeply rooted in agriculture, the understanding of this industry is becoming less and less. Therefore, the goal of the 1867 Club is to garner relationships and greater communication with those who live in metropolitan areas and have a passion and interest for Colorado’s agriculture and ranching way of life.

In order to initiate this effort, the 1867 Club hosted its inaugural dinner event, AgriCulture Conversations, where individuals came together to participate in thought provoking agricultural conversations. Dinner attendees had the opportunity to engage with the foremost agricultural experts specializing in natural resources, open space, water, wildlife, and more. Involvement in the 1867 Club

The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and the Colorado Cattlemen’s Foundation are still in the beginning stages of outlining and structuring future 1867 Club events and activities.  We were very pleased with the success and participation in our inaugural 1867 Club AgriCulture Conversations dinner event.  We are currently gathering information that will aid in further developing the goals and objectives for the 1867 Club.  Both CCA and the Foundation are interested in providing agricultural experiences and information that appeal to metropolitan communities through venues where Colorado’s agricultural legacy and future can be communicated, enjoyed and displayed. Please check this site periodically for updated information and upcoming events.  In the meantime, if you have questions or comments, please contact Beka Gill at (303) 431-6422.
